In the heart of a bustling suburban neighborhood, the quirky world of “Gone Nutty” springs to life. When an earthquake rattles the community, the eccentric residents of Maple Grove find themselves trapped in their homes with an unexpected surprise: a group of highly intelligent squirrels has decided to claim the neighborhood as their own. As these furry little intruders wreak havoc on the lives of the townsfolk, chaos and hilarity ensue.

The story centers around Mia Thompson, a dedicated wildlife biologist who has returned home after years of city living. Mia’s pragmatic approach towards nature is put to the test as the once-peaceful squirrels exhibit astonishing intelligence and coordinated behavior. Among them is Nutmeg, the de facto leader and a savvy strategist, who orchestrates wild raids on bird feeders, trash cans, and backyard picnics.

Mia teams up with her childhood friend, Ethan, a laid-back pet store owner who secretly longs to be an animal trainer. Together, they embark on a comical journey to understand the squirrels’ unusual behavior. In their quest, they involve the rest of the community, including Gary, the grumpy old man who wants nothing more than peace and quiet, and Lucy, a precocious child with a vivid imagination, who believes the squirrels are indeed organized in a plan to take over the world.

As the squirrels elude traps and outsmart residents at every turn, tensions rise, leading to the creation of a neighborhood task force.
