Happiness

Happiness

(1965)

In a world where the pursuit of happiness often feels like a distant dream, “Happiness” follows the intertwined lives of three strangers who discover that true joy sometimes arises from the most unexpected places.

Alice, a driven career woman in her late thirties, has spent her entire life climbing the corporate ladder. Despite her high-powered job at a tech company, she’s plagued by a sense of emptiness and disconnection from the world around her. Fueled by an unshakeable belief that success equals happiness, she ignores the growing void in her personal life until a chance encounter with a street artist begins to change her perspective.

Meanwhile, Malik is a retired school teacher who once inspired countless students but now finds himself feeling invisible in a world that seems to have forgotten him. Struggling with loneliness and the loss of his purpose, he spends his days wandering the city’s parks, sketching his dreams of a simpler time. His chance meeting with Alice sparks an unlikely friendship that opens her eyes to the beauty of life’s small moments—reminding him along the way of the impact he once had on those around him.

At the same time, Mia, a vibrant college student, grapples with the pressures of social media and the chase for likes and followers that have left her feeling anxious and isolated. After facing a public humiliation during a campus event, Mia retreats into herself, unsure of who she truly is beyond the online persona she created. A heartfelt letter she writes as an assignment accidentally lands in Malik’s hands, and their correspondence evolves into a mentorship that offers both of them a fresh perspective on vulnerability and self-acceptance.

As Alice learns to slow down and appreciate the fleeting moments of daily life through her bond with Malik and Mia, their journeys of self-discovery reveal that happiness is not found in external achievements, but rather in connection, compassion, and the willingness to embrace life’s imperfections. Together, these three unlikely companions embark on a journey to redefine their lives and find joy in the unexpected, showing audiences that happiness, at its core, is woven through our shared experiences and heartfelt connections.
