This animated feature film follows the light-hearted adventures of two young monsters, Mike Wazowski, a determined and optimistic green one-eyed creature, and James P. “Sulley” Sullivan, a powerhouse of a blue furry beast with a natural talent for scaring. Mike dreams of being a world-renowned Scarer, fueled by decades of studying the art of scaring and romantic visions of a prestigious career. He is scrappy, hard-working, and believes that brains and dedication outshine any inherent talent. Sulley, on the other hand, relates to the notions of innate ability. Born into a family of legendary Scarers, he relies on his natural charm and fear-provoking presence, often taking a laid-back approach to challenges. In their freshman year, competition heats up as they face off against the elite fraternity, Roar Omega Roar, led by the arrogant and scary Tyler. After a series of unfortunate events, Mike and Sulley become unlikely partners and stumble into a rivalry that nearly ruins their dreams. To set things right, they reluctantly join forces and take on unorthodox challenges in the university’s Scare Games, risking everything to prove themselves to the world—and to each other.
